If you are here you have created and also added images to your gallery. Now all you need to do is to add the Fixedly Media Gallery short tag into your WordPress page or post. There are 4 default templates that come with the Fixedly plugin (of course you can create your own but this is out the scope of this howto) one default template, one for image, one for video and one for slideshow. To be able to add the right gallery you need to know the Gallery ID and that’s the only option required.

Here is how you can add a sample image gallery with all default options.

And here is a little bit more complex version that is using the image template

You may have noticed that in the second more complex example we’ve included the fancybox library.

If you know a bit more you can build your own template and have your own style and look.

Later on you may want to edit & update your image details. To do that you need to go to Fixedly > Add/Manage Gallery and then select the image gallery name below the Manage Galleries title.

The information you can edit and update is the title, description and status of you image. To edit the title and description just click on the original one, change it, and then click Save.

You can also show and hide an image from your gallery by changing its status.

The third status is remove, remember that, once you remove an image it cannot be restored again.

You can also see the id, status, link, type and date added of your image, however, this data cannot be edited.

Once you have your gallery created you are ready to add images, this is done in couple of steps. First you need to go to Fixedly > Add Image Add Images sub menu. Inside the add image screen first you need to select the gallery where you want to add you images. We’ve made it easier for you and you will see only galleries that have image type, video and slideshow type will not be show here.

Then you need to enter details for each of your images. All three fields are required. Image title, image description and image URL.

For image URL you can enter external URL where you have some images stored OR use the WordPress Upload Media Gallery tool by clicking on the Upload & Attach Image button. For the second option once you upload and format your image you need to click on the Insert Into Post and the image URL would appear into the appropriate text field.

You are also able to add more than one image, by clicking on the Add Multiple Images… link you will see 4 more rows.

Once you have all the images you want to upload and their details entered just click the Add New Images button.

To see your images you can go to Fixedly > Add/Manage Gallery My Fixedly Galleries and then click on the name of the gallery you want see. In our case “Hello World”. All the gallery entries will appear under Manage Galleries.

That’s all! Now you are ready to integrate your Fixedly Image Gallery into your WordPress post or page.
